Kingston Technology Announces Innovative Online Campaign to Educate the Market on Memory Products

Launches ‘HyperX Challenge’ – a Fun-Filled Gaming Contest with HyperX Memory Modules as Prizes

December 05, 2006 – In keeping with its plans to educate consumers to make informed decisions on digital memory products that are so integral to present day digital lifestyles, Kingston Technology Company Inc., the world’s largest independent memory module manufacturer, today announced its latest online initiative titled www.knowyourmemory.com. A first of its kind initiative in India, this online portal offers a unique platform for digital lifestyle enthusiasts to learn more about the latest developments in memory technologies, its impact on digital products and technologies, and to network with peer groups on digital lifestyle issues and concerns through an easy-to-use discussion forum www.knowyourmemory.com/forum.html.

In a related announcement, Kingston also unveiled the “HyperX Challenge”, a fun filled interactive campaign hosted on the www.knowyourmemory.com portal, that challenges gaming enthusiasts, in particular, and IT users, in general, to play the fun-filled game for a chance to win the grand prize of Kingston HyperX memory module sets and a host of other prizes including Kingston branded T-Shits, and various other gifts. To play the game, users are invited to visit www.knowyourmemory.com/game.html. Kingston Technology is also promoting this game through techtree.com and visitors of techtree.com can play the game by visiting www.techtree.com.

“Choosing the right kind of memory for your PC, laptop, mobile phone, digital camera can make an awful lot of difference to your digital lifestyle experience,” says Rajesh Panicker, Country Manager, India, Kingston Technology. “Under the www.knowyourmemory.com initiative, we plan to roll out a number of programs to educate end users on how to make informed decisions on memory products while inviting them to interact with Kingston Technology on memory related technical and support queries,” he added.

The Kingston “HyperX Challenge” is now open to public between December 05 and December 26, 2006. A lucky draw of successful gamers will decide the winners of 3 HyperX memory module sets and 200 consolation prizes including Kingston branded T-Shirts and various other gifts. The names of the prizewinners will be posted on www.knowyourmemory.com and on www.kingston.com/india. All prizes will be dispatched to lucky winners on or before January 10, 2007.
