Kingston Technology ValueRAM DDR3 Notebook Memory Achieves Intel Validation

DDR3-1066 SO-DIMMs Optimized for Upcoming Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology

Hsinchu, Taiwan – May 3, 2008 – Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced its ValueRAM DDR3 small outline dual-inline memory modules (SO-DIMMs) have passed Intel validation for the soon-to-be released Intel Centrino 2 processor technology. The new Kingston ValueRAM PC3-8500 SO-DIMMs (Kingston part#: KVR1066D3S7/xx) will help increase bandwidth and reduce power consumption in next-generation high performance notebook computers.

“As more consumers look to notebooks as replacements for desktop systems, the demand for greater processing speed in notebook computers also increases,” said Ann Bai, Product Manager, DRAM Memory, APAC Region, Kingston. “Our DDR3 SO-DIMMs will deliver twice the data bandwidth as previous DDR2 SO-DIMMs while using less power thus increasing battery life in a notebook PC.”

Kingston’s 1066-DDR3 ValueRAM SO-DIMMs were first showcased in Intel mobile systems at this year’s CeBIT exposition in Hannover, Germany, and at the recently concluded Intel Developer Forum in Shanghai, China.
