Kingston India Records Impressive Growth in 2008 & Charts Aggressive Plans for 2009
Mumbai, India, 06 February, 2009 - Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced impressive 2008 business growth in India, recording over 300% growth in flash unit volumes and a market leading record 40% growth in flash business revenue, over previous year figures. With the recent launch of its state-of-art Kingston Solid State Drive (SSD) product line, the company has set the tone for an aggressive business growth in India for 2009, including 30% growth in Flash unit volumes, 100% growth in DRAM revenues and a significant ramp up of its DRAM distribution infrastructure in India.

Focused on garnering higher volumes and improving market reach for its popular DRAM modules, Kingston has drawn plans to add more distribution partners, in addition to HCL and Neoteric. Offering a wide range of DRAM modules, ValueRAM for mainstream, System Specific Memory for branded computers, and HyperX for extreme performance applications, Kingston has drawn up a slew up marketing programs designed to educate end-users on the need for brand sensitivity during DRAM selection for systems, including laptops, PC, graphic workstations, gaming machines and servers.
To increase end-user awareness and higher brand connect amongst potential buyers of its products, particularly the SSD and DRAM product lines, Kingston will roll out a series of roadshows across key market segments through 2009. For its flash product business, the company plans to focus on enhancing retail visibility and availability across photography, mobile, gifts, stationary, laptop, consumer electronic, mom&pop stores, large malls & superstores.
