Adding an SSD to a desktop already using a standard hard disk drive is a smart and efficient way to upgrade. 	As we have stated earlier in the review this is an update to the already released V+ Series solid state drives form Kingston, a second-generation. So what really is new about these drives? Probably the most important thing that sticks out to most people is Windows 7 TRIM support. This improved the write performance of a solid state drives that use Windows 7. Also it seems like Kingston has done some work on the controller in the V+ Series. Write speeds are far superior to what they were on the original V+ Series. 	Kingston SSDNow 128GB V+ Series Revision 2 SSD is great against its predecessor and if all else is the same, and you’re picking one up, make sure it is the Version 2... Looking back to how it has improved upon itself, the new revision is better throughout in all the tests thanks in part to the new Toshiba Controller and NAND Flash inside...Since we haven’t seen Samsung come up with anything much better it’s interesting to see Toshiba step up. 	Kingston Technology's second generation of their SSDNow V+ Series of SSDs performed very well and was stutter free no matter what the task was that we threw at it on the desktop or in our notebook...The Kingston SSDNow V+ was said to have sequential read speeds of up to 230MB/sec. and write speeds of up to 180MB/sec. We were able to meet or exceed those rated speeds when using benchmarks...The SNVP325-S2 series of drives are a great choice for the mainstream SSD market... The nice thing about this drive is that it supports TRIM functionality right out of the box. 	The blazing fast read and write speeds of the Kingston SSDNow V+ make it a force to be reckoned with... Put head to head with the Western Digital VelociRaptor, the SSD does nothing but shot that it can do everything that a HDD can do – better. Start times between both drives was greatly noticeable. Start time for the VelociRaptor was around 20 seconds to get into Windows, whereas the Kingston SSDNow V+ start time was dropped to around 11.
