I've installed the Kingston HyperX PC3500, PC3700, or PC4000 and by default it runs at 400MHz and not the rated speed?

To ensure that your computer will boot, Kingston programs the SPD (Serial Presence Detect) to JEDEC 400MHz settings. Some motherboards do not operate at speeds greater than 400MHz and in order to give every customer the best experience, Kingston sets the SPD to the JEDEC standard values, giving the user the choice to overclock their system at a later time.
