Kingston Hits $1.8 Billion in Sales for 2003

Fountain Valley, CA - (February 10, 2004), Kingston® Technology Corporation, a worldwide leader in manufacturing, assembly, packaging, test and logistics for memory products, today announced sales for 2003 reached $1.8 billion - soaring more than ten percent year over year.

Over the past year, Kingstonâ placed greater emphasis on its ValueRAM, Digital Media, and OEM divisions. Sales exceeded expectations with each market segment performing exceptionally well. The company also broadened its global production focus, revealing plans to increase its manufacturing capacity by expanding facilities in Shanghai, China. The new manufacturing facility will be more than 200,000 square feet and is expected to be ready in early 2005.

"By empowering employees to attain their goals and in developing close partnerships with key memory suppliers, we were able to introduce new levels of service and product quality to the memory market in 2003," said John Tu, president, Kingston. Starting out with only two employees and $120,000 in annual sales for the first year, Kingston has grown to over 2,000 employees worldwide and over $1.8 billion in annual sales for 2003.
