Kingston Holds Top Spot with 20.9 Percent Market Share
Fountain Valley, CA - (May 6, 2004), -- Kingston® Technology Company,
Inc., the world's largest independent memory module manufacturer, was ranked by iSuppli Corporation as
the world's number one memory module manufacturer among the third-party memory market.* Kingston now
holds the top spot with more than 20.9
percent market share - an increase of 6.4 percent from 2002.
Over the past year, Kingston placed greater emphasis on its ValueRAMTM,
Digital Media, and OEM divisions and as a direct result, sales exceeded expectations with each
market segment performing exceptionally well. The company also broadened its global production
focus and augmented capital investment, revealing plans to increase its manufacturing capacity by
significantly expanding production facilities in Shanghai, China.
