Kingston Technology spiced up ‘Mood Indigo 2007’ at IIT Mumbai
Mumbai,India -- (November 17, 2007) – Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory
products, recently sponsored Mood Indigo 2007 at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai as a part of its new initiative to increase
brand and memory product awareness amongst students from leading engineering, management and mainstream colleges in all key metros in India.
Recognized as early adopters of latest digital lifestyle products, students are known to regularly influence purchase of digital lifestyle
appliances amongst less tech-savvy users within their families, neighborhoods or peer groups.
Held between December 26 –29’07, Mood Indigo 2007 attracted over 60,000 footfalls and witnessed active participation from students of
over 500 odd colleges from across the country.
As the event sponsor, Kingston spared no efforts to attractively present its brand and sought after memory product lines at the 4-day
event. The attractively decorated Kingston Kiosk caught attention from a large number of digital lifestyle enthusiasts and featured
wide range of entertainment programs, including knowledge based games, quiz contests, skill games, and “me & my group” photo-op
sessions. All aimed at spreading awareness about its memory products in a fun oriented manner. Students who participated in activities
at the kiosk were each gifted with a Kingston branded merchandise like Bandana, Cap, T-Shirt or Pen. Those who got involved in clicking
a photograph with their group were later emailed a copy each of their group photo.
"We were very excited about being the event sponsor of the Mood Indigo 2007. After this festival, we realize that it is necessary to
understand and to fulfill the demand of student community. Through 2008, we will further streamline and ramp up our student community
programs in order to better meet the demand of this specific community, " says Nitin Malhotra, Country Manager, India, Kingston
Technology, "The pro-active participation from a large number of colleges at Mood Indigo 2007 and the equally large vendor sponsorship
support for this event encouraged us to look at college festivals as an ideal occasion to showcase our latest range of memory products
targeted at early adopter of digital lifestyle products market in India as well as to introduce the global leading memory brand
"Kingston" to Indian students." he added.
