Kingston Technology Teams with Ingram Micro Services Network to Expand and Enhance KingstonCare Service Program
Worldwide Leader Taps Premiere IT Services Organization to Provide On-Site Technical Support to Corporate Customers

Fountain Valley, CA, Sept 7, 2005 - Kingston Technology, Inc., the worldwide independent leader in memory products, today announced it has teamed with the Ingram Micro Services Network (IMSN) to expand and enhance the company's on-site technical services capabilities and reach for corporate customers in the United States and Canada.

IMSN is the centerpiece of Ingram Micro Inc.'s, the world's largest technology distributor, services offering. Under the terms of the agreement, Kingston's sales and technical support staff will call on the IMSN to address and resolve the on-site technical service and support needs of corporate end-users who install Kingston memory into mission-critical servers and routers. In addition, Kingston will use the IMSN to provide technical support to those customers that may be out of the company's market reach or technology expertise. This ability to 'dispatch on demand' will enable Kingston to better service its growing customer base and provide a broader spectrum of complementary, on-site customer support levels through its KingstonCare service program.

"The Ingram Micro Services Network is fast-becoming the professional services organization of choice for today's IT vendors," said Justin Crotty, vice president, channel marketing North America, Ingram Micro. "Partnering with the IMSN signals a new era of services excellence and demonstrates Kingston's commitment to meeting and exceeding its customers' service and support expectations."

As an IMSN vendor partner, Kingston gains instant access to the premier channel service organization with more than 650 of Ingram Micro's best solution provider companies, comprised of thousands of certified services professionals, including field engineers, network engineers, project managers and technical support representatives throughout North America. This "built-in" network of IT service professionals offers vendors a no-hassle way to noticeably improve customer service levels without investing in additional infrastructure or service technicians or sinking a lot of time and money into training and education. Additionally, as part of the agreement, IMSN solution providers will automatically be entitled to all the benefits of Kingston's successful KingstonCare service program.

"The IMSN's proven ability to provide effective on-site services is exactly what we were looking for in a services partner," said John Holland, vice president, domestic sales, Kingston. "The IMSN's cross-trained technicians and service providers will give our resellers and their customers an additional level of confidence when incorporating Kingston memory products into the overall solution. Kingston's attention to service assures our channel partners that they are getting a high-level quality experience. Through the use of IMSN we can deploy qualified service providers right to our customer's front door without any hassle or worry," added Holland.

KingstonCare In addition to built-in product quality, the value-added services of free technical support and lifetime warranty, Kingston offers the KingstonCare service plan that provides on-site server memory spares, cross-ship RMAs, service cost reimbursement and an easy-to-use suite of e-tools for server memory support needs.
