Kingston Unveils 4-GB DataTraveler Elite
Professional-grade Portable USB Flash Drive Offers Advanced Security, Increased Capacity

Fountain Valley, CA -- (July 18, 2005), Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the expansion of its award-winning DataTraveler® Elite USB product line with a new 4-GB version-the largest capacity DataTraveler produced to date.

The DataTraveler Elite has a unique combination of hardware and software-based security that gives unprecedented access control and encrypted data protection. DataTraveler Elite's TravelerSafe+ software lets users set password access control for a private data storage area that utilizes 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware-based encryption. When a DataTraveler Elite is removed from a system, all threads to the information are terminated and if ever lost, the advanced hardware encryption system protects the data against unauthorized access.

Taking advantage of the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface, the DataTraveler Elite has data transfer rates of up to 24 MB/sec. read and 14 MB/sec. write, making it one of the fastest USB devices available.
