Photographers Get Advice for Taking Better Photos on Kingston Technology's 'Icons of Photography' Microsite
World-Class Photographers Review Photographs in Latest Round of 'Critique My Image'
Fountain Valley, CA - September 12, 2007 -
Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it has posted a new series of photographs submitted by
aspiring photographers from around the globe that were critiqued by its world-class 'Icons of Photography' members.
The Critique My Image section gives visitors to Kingston's 'Icons of Photography' microsite an opportunity to have their photographs reviewed by some of the
best photographers in the world including Harry Benson, Colin Finlay, Gerd Ludwig and Peter Read Miller, who provide constructive advice for improving their
photographs. Visitors can upload images for critique by logging onto http://www.kingston.com/iop.
"The response we've received from people around the world who want constructive comments about how to improve their photography is impressive," said Jaja Lin,
Flash product marketing manager, Kingston®. "The photographers in our 'Icons of Photography' program are among the very best in their respective fields
and their expert advice and insight benefits everyone who reads their critiques, not just those who submitted photos,"
"It's encouraging to see the number of photographers genuinely interested in receiving feedback from us in the Icons program," said Colin Finlay. "It would be
virtually impossible to critique all the images submitted, so our selection process is tailored to choosing images that allow us to offer advice everyone can
apply to their own photography. We are thrilled and humbled at the number of photographers seeking our opinions about their work and how they might improve on it."
Kingston's 'Icons of Photography' microsite includes Finlay, acclaimed photojournalist Harry Benson, National Geographic photographer Gerd Ludwig and Sports
Illustrated photographer Peter Read Miller.
Consisting of three elements - 20 Questions, Ask the Icon and Critique My Image - the site provides visitors with personal insight in an interactive forum where
questions can be asked and images can be shared with the Icons. The microsite will continue to showcase the latest work produced by each photographer, along with
a listing of upcoming projects, lectures and workshops from each. In October, Kingston will publish 20 Questions with Colin Finlay, an up-close-and-personal interview.
