Kingston Technology Holds Mobile Phone Contest

microSDHC card Multiple Prizes Awarded for Still Photos and Video from Cameraphones

Fountain Valley, CA -- (March 2, 2009) -- Kingston Technology Co., Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, is inviting consumers to submit still pictures or video clips taken from a cameraphone as part of its Kingston® Mobile Contest. Photos or short videos will be accepted now through March 31, 2009, representing the following categories: dance/pose, fun pet tricks, travel/vacation and sports, with a total of 32 prizes awarded.

A panel of judges will decide winners for each category. Prizes include 8GB Kingston microSDHC cards, 8GB Mobility/Multi-Kits, 16GB SDHC video cards, DataTraveler® HyperX® Flash drives and assorted card readers; D-Link® 10" Photo Frames and XTreme N Dual Gigabit Wireless Routers; GoPro Motorsports HERO Wide cameras; Plantronics Discovery® 925 Bluetooth® headsets; and Western Digital WD® TV™ HD Media Players.

"The mobile phone contest is a fun way for consumers to use their cameraphones to show off cool dance moves, crazy pet tricks, favorite memories from exotic locales or hitting the slopes for some rail sliding" said Wendy Lecot, Flash business development manager, Kingston. "Memory cards for mobile phones have opened up a world of rich content possibilities and have made it so much easier to store and share photos and videos."
