Kingston Technology to Demo, Issue White Paper on SSD Benefits in SQL Server 2008 at Microsoft TechEd

Large-Scale Memory Demo, Guitar Hero® Champion at Kingston Booth

Fountain Valley, CA – May 11, 2009 – Kingston Technology Co. Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it will hold memory demonstrations as well as release a white paper on the benefits of solid-state drive (SSD) technology for servers during Microsoft Tech·Ed, May 11-15, 2009.

The demo will showcase performance in a system containing 24GB of DRAM and numerous Kingston® SSDNow E Series drives. The white paper will show results of a power usage and work load comparison between 45 SATA hard-disk drives and eight Kingston solid-state drives operating within a server environment. In addition, professional Guitar Hero video game champion Annie "Ecstasy" Leung will challenge all comers at the Kingston booth during expo hours. Leung is currently the highest-ranked female Guitar Hero player in the United States.
