FAQ for Flash Memory Cards
Issue: DFC-011804-1 |
I have an HP PhotoSmart 315 Digital Camera and a 256MB Kingston CompactFlash card. When I try to
transfer files to my computer using the camera's USB
cable, it gives me an error "is not formatted, would you like to format it now?"
|
| Resolution: |
A media reader such as Kingston's FCR-U2CF USB CompactFlash Media Reader will solve the problem. The HP
PhotoSmart 315 and 315xi are unable to transfer the files directly from the camera to the computer when
using CompactFlash cards larger than 32 MB. The camera will work fine with larger CompactFlash cards, allowing you to take photos
and display them but it is necessary to use a media reader to transfer the files to your computer.
