Flash Product Specialist
Job Opportunities in Europe
Kingston Technology, a leading manufacturer of computer hardware products with its European headquarters in Sunbury-on-Thames, UK, is
now recruiting for a Flash Product Specialist.
Department: European Marketing
POSITION SUMMARY:
To be responsible for the effective communication, promotion and marketing of Flash memory products to a wide range of internal and external
customers. Provide pre-sales technical product support for both inside and field sales teams. Provide support to the Product Marketing team as
necessary with regard to the generation, updating, and maintenance of web site and intranet content, and both product marketing and sales
materials. Monitor Flash memory market and Kingston’s success (ROI) against specific marketing campaigns and material usage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor activities of competitors and Flash memory market trends – Produce weekly competitive and market analysis reports
- Gather and process Flash memory specific sales figures on a weekly basis – Produce weekly report to include Top sellers, highest back ordered product, etc. and use reports to measure marketing campaign effectiveness.
- Liaise regularly with colleagues in Kingston FV and EMEA to gain awareness of, and remain updated in relation to, product roadmaps, strategies, propositions and associated materials
- Manage and maintain all Flash memory product marketing and sales materials and tools – Datasheets, comparison documents, pre-release information, etc.
- Management of Flash memory content on Kingston Intranet – including the optimizing of presentations and other documents for use on the Intranet
- Identify and manage any changes and updates required for European web sites. Ensuring European web site content is up-to-date, relevant and of value (across all language sites)
- Act as key facilitator for the Kingston Technology product personalisation program. Ensuring all internal documents are up-to-date and relevant. Produce external communication collateral and effectively communicate and make available any supporting collateral produced (both internally and externally)
- After a period of time in the role - Assist internal and field sales teams when necessary by way of technical product and market trends presentations, pre-sales product support and product training, at all levels of Kingston’s chain to market
- Monitor Flash memory market and Kingston’s success (ROI) against specific marketing campaigns and material usage.
- Perform other work related duties as assigned to assist the Product Marketing team.
GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS):
Abilities:
Essential: Be able to credibly communicate with Kingston sales teams, partners and customers using strong verbal, written and
interpersonal skills. Driven and diplomatic, structured and organized. Pro-active, responsive and willing to take ownership combined with tact,
diplomacy and cultural sensitivity.
Knowledge:
Essential: Minimum two years of computer industry experience. Excellent technical understanding of PC architecture and associated
technologies.
Desirable: Previous experience of working in a technically focussed role. Sales and marketing ‘literacy’ and interest. CIM or
equivalent training. Experience of working in a multi-cultural, multi-national organization. European language skills.
Skills:
Essential: Ability to convey complex technical subjects in laymans terms (make technical subjects more ‘accessible’ to all). Ability to
understand and become familiar with new technologies and concepts very quickly. High degree of competence using standard PC productivity applications.
Strong communication & presentation skills.
