Shipping Compliance
The European Union, China, and Australia now require that all Non-Manufactured Wood Packing
Material (NMWP) originating in the United States, Canada or Japan, must be treated and marked
before being allowed into their countries to prevent the introduction of the pinewood nematode
eelworm. NMWP includes wooden pallets and/or crates that might be used to transport products
to customers in those locations. As only a small percentage of Kingston's products are shipped
by wooden pallet, rather than treat our existing wooden pallet inventory, Kingston has changed
its shipping process to accommodate these new regulations. Effective immediately, Kingston will
use plastic pallets instead of wood-based pallets when pallet shipments are necessary to the
European Union, China, and Australia.
If you have any questions regarding this change, please feel free to contact Kim Elliott in our
Compliance Department at (714) 885-7831.
