There’s always room for more…Kingston Technology Europe aims for world record
Kingston Technology aim to break the world record for number of people in a MINI

London UK, August 2009 -- Kingston Technology Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, plans to break the world record for getting as many people into one Mini as possible. Taking place in Birmingham on the 29th of August bank holiday weekend, it promises to be a fun-filled and exciting experience for the whole family.

The event will be held at the Curry’s car park, J9 off the M6, Wednesbury, Birmingham and members of the public are encouraged to participate in this record-breaking attempt. A prize of £2500 stands to be won along with plenty of mini challenges that will see the public get great rewards. BMRB, the local radio station, along with the Thunder Team, will be on hand to support the event.

The current world record sits at 24 people squeezed tightly into one of the world’s smallest cars, so will Kingston’s excellent record at providing plenty of storage space in their wide range of products help them out?

“It was the perfect idea,” says Paul Leaman, retail sales director, Europe, “We pride ourselves on delivering high-performance memory with plenty of room and this is a fun way of bringing that message to our users.”

Celebrities attending this high profile event include Mike Newman, the blind land-speed record holder, the mayor of Birmingham and executives from the Vision charity. For those who have any questions about the products, there will be staff on standby to offer advice.

Timed to take place in conjunction with the launch of their new consumer website (www.rememberkingston.com), the event will highlight the excellent value and affordability of Kingston products.
