Reviews
The Inquirer
10 July 2009.
Comparative Review between Kingston & A-Data. In summary, both of these inexpensive drives are a fairly good deal as long as they are not the only
drive in a system. There are some numbers inconsistencies, but SSDs are still at an early stage of development, so varied controllers, caches and algorithms
can affect the results.
Until 200GB and larger SSDs become cheaper, the combination of a small SSD for OS and apps and secondary HDD for all the rest like downloaded videos, 3D
models, game files or whatever you're into, makes the best sense in a decent mainstream PC...

Kingston’s SSDNow V Series kits, available in 128GB and 64GB capacities, offer almost instant performance gains and power consumption reductions on
existing desktops and laptops - but at a price. The price of SSDs are tumbling, but IDE and SATA storage is still by far the better price/performance
option. For instance, a Western Digital Scorpio Blue (320GB, IDE, 5400rpm, 8MB cache) laptop drive can be purchased for as little as
£62.40/
$86.99 and a
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 (1.5TB, SATA-II, 7200rpm, 32MB cache) desktop drive comes in at just under £95/
$119. Besides
Kingston’s best efforts, value isn’t the strongest selling point of the SSDNow V Series Kit...

Raptor and does so while using less power and generating less heat and noise...Due to its exceptional price point and great bundle the V-Series wins our

April 2009
PC Games Hardware awards Kingston SSDNow E-Series 32GB
"The data - resulting in expensive SLC-chips and in a sophisticated controller using NCQ – are extreme. More than 230MB/sec. reading, almost 200MB/sec.
writing – the latter being more than the manufacturer is promising. Access time is beyond reproach. When reading or writing data it allows itself less the
10/2000 sec. No surprise that both copytests have been much faster as with any other drive in the review."

Fudzilla reviews the Kingston SSDNow E-Series 32GB
"We must admit that this device is simply flawless and it leaves the competition in a huge cloud of dust, but we still find it hard to believe that users
will find it to be appealing with such high pricing … With that in mind, and the fact that this device is quiet, durable and an excellent performer, we
could say that this devices golden times are yet to come... we dub Kingston SSDNow E 32GB a Fudzilla Recommended piece of kit."

Clunk.org
January 2009
Clunk.org reviews the Kingston SSDNow E Series 32GB
"The Kingston SSDNow E-Series 32GB Solid State Drive is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. As far as hard drives go, it's an insanely specialised
bit of kit and will not suit everyone, but if you do happen to need/want a drive that can match a six or eight (maybe more) disk RAID set up for IOPS and
bandwidth, then this could be for you... To sum up, the Kingston SSDNow E-series 32GB SSD is indeed the fastest commerically available single SATA II hard
drive available today, its silent, uses a tiny amount of power, takes up a minimal amount of space, has no moving parts, is cool."
