On June 5th, HyperX will host a $10,000 invitation only overclocking competition during Computex 2014 week to celebrate the start of the HyperX OC Takeover (HOT) 2014 season. 10 teams of the world' best overclockers from around the world will be attempting to set new records with HyperX Predator memory and 4th Generation Intel Core i7 Haswell Refresh processors.
This one-day event will take place on June 5th at the Kelti International Building in Taipei, Taiwan. Invited overclockers will compete in three benchmark categories including Max Memory Frequency, SuperPi, and XTU with a secret processor to be revealed at the event. Participants’ scores will be posted live from the event on HWBOT.
Following this kickoff event for HOT, four month-long regional online qualifiers will begin starting with Latin America in July, Asia in August, Europe in September, and finally North America in October. A total of ten finalists will qualify from these regional competitions to the HOT World Finals, where they will compete for a $15,000 prize pool!
