Description:
Devices of 4GB or smaller capacities are occasionally not recognized if plugged into the MobileLite Wireless before turning on.
Requirements:
- MobileLite Wireless
- USB device or Secure Digital (SD) / Secure Digital Micro (SDC) card.
Note: The device being used to update the MobileLite Wireless must be formatted under FAT32. Any other file system used will not initiate the update process.
Update Procedure:
1. Insert the device (SD/SDC, USB) that will be used to update the MobileLite Wireless to the computer.
2. Click on the ‘download’ link to begin the update process.
3. When prompted for a ‘Save’ location, navigate to device chosen in step 1.
4. Once the download is complete, ‘Safely Remove’ the device from the computer.
5. With the MobileLite Wireless device turned off, insert the device chosen in step 1.
6. ‘Power On’ the MobileLite Wireless by holding the ‘Power On’ button for more than 3 seconds.
7. The MobileLite Wireless will initially turn on and broadcast a wireless signal. After a few seconds, it will reboot and the blue bridged LED will begin to flash.
8. The updating process will start automatically and should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
9. The process will be completed once the blue bridged LED stops flashing and the blue wireless LED comes back on.
Note: Updating the MobileLite Wireless device will reset configuration settings and will need to be re-established.
Warning: Remove any devices not being used to update the firmware of the MobileLite Wireless. Kingston is not responsible for any data loss that may occur if a device is left in the reader during the process. It is advised that you do NOT disconnect the media reader until the process is complete.
