I get a "bad command or missing interpreter" error when I boot from the firmware disk. How do I resolve this?
If your CD/DVD drive is external, the firmware update will not work with some external CD/DVD drives.
The solution is to either use a different external CD/DVD drive or update the SSD in a computer with an internal CD/DVD drive.
If you are using an internal CD/DVD drive and get this error, try changing all the SATA ports in the BIOS to IDE compatibility mode, not just the port the SSD is connected to.

When I try to run the firmware update with my internal SATA II DVD/Blu-Ray drive, I get a "Enter the full shell command line" error. Why?
It may be due to you using a combo drive that included Blu-Ray.
Try using an older drive that was just CD-ROM/DVD only.

When I try to update the firmware for my SSD, I get an error stating the update failed. How do I resolve this?
Make sure you are using the correct firmware update file. You will need to use a different file depending on what firmware version you already have. The firmware version is printed on the label on the drive. But if you performed a previous update, the label may not be correct. If you use the wrong firmware, the updating utility will display your current firmware version when you run it.

What operating systems or platforms does this firmware update work with?
This firmware update runs using FreeDOS 1.0 that comes on the bootable disk the user creates. It is independent of OS or platform.

Are there specific BIOS settings needed to implement this update?
The SATA ports in the BIOS must be in IDE mode for the firmware to be applied otherwise the drive will not be detected by the updater.

Is there a possibility of firmware update with drive in a USB enclosure?
