Per HP, only models with the Opteron (Third Generation) processor, models 8378, 8380, 8382, 8384, support DDR2-800 memory.
Four single ranked DIMMs per processor node yields 2-way bank interleaving.
Four dual ranked DIMMs per processor node yields 4-way bank interleaving.

Mixing single and dual ranked DIMMs on the same processor node will disable bank interleaving.
Kits must be installed in decreasing capacity with the largest kits installed in the banks furthest away from each processor.
Per HP, if all four banks on a memory node are populated, the maximum memory clock speed will be 533MHz. If two or fewer banks on a node are populated, the maximum memory clock speed will be 667MHz.
