Job Summary:

Under general supervision the Business Manager strategically guides the regions to maximize revenue and profit by focusing on three main areas of responsibility.

  • First point of contact for all internal departments and Business Managers in all regions
  • Monitor competitive pricing and promotional behavior by communicating frequently with all regions.

  • Monitor sales out and inventory levels to identify trends early

This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with regional managers and inside sales to deliver products into the market. The Business Manager job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals, and performs other related work as required.


Essential Functions

First point of contact for Business Managers in all regions:

  • Identify business growth opportunities with existing partners in the region
  • Be the go-to person for knowledge for both product lines for the region
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and the regions on product launches to make sure launches are well coordinated.
  • Keep regions updated about future roadmap and current product development Identify key players
  • Analyze inventory availability
  • Pitch product positioning of new products using storybook presentations
  • Perform product demos and visits to customers
  • Track and analyze competitive pricing in the region. Establish pricing in coordination with internal team to meet revenue goals
  • Track and analyze stock levels at key customers, ensure all key skus are listed and in stock

First point of contact for all internal departments:

  • Explain roadmap and individual product positioning
  • Keep all relevant departments updated at all times about any changes for upcoming products.
  • Participate in forecast and planning meetings to ensure accurate forecast.

Analysis of competitive pricing, product placement and inventory levels:

  • NPI: Ensure NPI orders have been placed, product set up and listed in an appropriate manner.
  • Promotions: Be aware how promotional dollars are being spent and measure success of spend.

  • Inventory levels: Ensure all key skus are stocked at appropriate levels
  • Competitive pricing: Analyze competition pricing at key channel partners

Qualifications Guidelines

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or communications or related field.
  • Eight (8) years of sales and/or marketing experience, with at least 4 years’ experience within the peripheral gaming business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience presenting to mid-to-high level management, pitching products and programs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with peripherals gaming brands. Experience with global key e-tailer and retailers beyond North America essential
  • Knowledge of sales and promotional incentives, brand campaigns; electronic mail marketing and promotional techniques and practices; customer service and inventory principles.
  • Thorough understanding of product launch and promotional best practices and good grasp of technical specifications
  • Self-driven, motivated with proven ability to grasp complex financial, technical and marketing information to develop product plans and strategies

Special Requirements/Certification

Must be able to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25% of the time. Requirements for frequency of travel will vary.
