  • Cascade Lake-X processors are required to use memory modules built with 16Gbit density DRAM. BIOS/firmware updates and/or specific board revisions may also be required. All other CPUs please contact the manufacturer.
  • QUAD CHANNEL memory bandwidth is only supported on Intel Skylake-X and Cascade Lake-X processors. MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN FOURS for Quad Channel mode.
  • DUAL CHANNEL memory bandwidth is supported on Intel Kabylake-X processors. MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN PAIRS for Dual Channel mode.
  • Per MSI, when using Kabylake-X based processors, Dual Channel operation is limited to sockets C1+D1, C2+D2. Refer to manual for proper installation.
  • From MSI manual:
  • "S/K LED : S/K LED indicates that the installed CPU supports either 4-channels or 2-channels memory architecture."
  • "Red = 8 DIMMs support (4-channels architecture CPU)"
  • "White = 4 DIMMs support (2-channels architecture CPU)"
