  • Position Summary:

    Accomplishes Kingston Technology’s business requirements by developing and maintaining computer software applications, databases and reports. Works with customers to understand their needs and develop software solutions. Delivers maintenance, support and necessary modifications for software applications in use.

    Responsible for the development and support of Server, PC and Intranet applications.

Essential Functions:

  • To provide high level technical and analytical support for software applications used by Kingston Technology.
  • To develop and maintains software applications and databases by evaluating business needs. To arrange project requirements in programming sequence suitable for Microsoft.Net development.
  • Be able to independently manage a project from start to finish and liaise with the relevant manager at all times in case of solo application development and be able to play active role and effectively communicate as a member of group of developers in case of team application development.
  • To confirm program operation by conducting tests.
  • To operate as backup for other team members when necessary.
  • To maintain and support content in production environments.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring writing and maintaining accurate user documentation.
  • Keeps tracking of software development process by using Team Foundation software.
  • Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Be able to provide support for other Kingston applications when needed.
  • Train users where needed, following implementation of new applications.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge.

Education / Qualifications

Minimum Criteria
  • Degree level educated (or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar

Experience / Knowledge:

Minimum Criteria
  • Strong C# and Transact SQL programming skills, A minimum of two years of .Net Framework programming.
  • Team Foundation, Experience in using Subversion systems, .Net WinForms programming, JavaScript, HMTL, Knowledge of JD Edwards (Oracle JD Edwards World Applications or Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne) data structure.

  • Strong communication, organisational and project management skills are critical
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, make independent decisions and cooperate in a team environment are all essential.
