Job Details - Accountant, OEM - Fountain Valley, CA
Department: OEM Finance
Under general supervision, individual is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to capture and analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports

Essential Functions:

  • Review and monitor OEM customers’ monthly inventory count. Work closely with warehouse, operations and sales teams to analyze inventory count and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Account for all sales rebate adjustments for the different OEM businesses, as well as update monthly pricing details to OEM customers
  • Track and analyze contract manufacturing cost and margin, guide and support planners with any finance question
  • Prepare OEM’s related journal entries and participate in the month end close
  • Prepare monthly OEM related financial and customer profitability reports
  • Assist in the annual inventory count and financial audit
  • Assist the OEM team with various accounting and reporting projects


  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent business degree
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with global operations
  • Experience with cycle count, cost variance analysis, month/year end close, internal controls, year-end audit, business analysis & process improvements
  • Experience dealing with production issues and capturing production cost
  • Strong Advanced Excel skills with the ability to create Advanced Excel formulas, as well as develop complex data extraction tools. Strong utilization of pivot tables and pivot charts
  • JDE, Insight/Hubble, and IBM Cognos experience a plus
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Team-player and self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision, while managing and prioritizing conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with the technology sector
