Seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Embedded Solutions sales team. This salesperson should have at least 4-6 years of experience selling electronic components, preferably memory and storage solutions, into product designs for embedded and IoT applications in North America. This person will be primarily responsible for working with end customers and our distribution partners to help drive the design-in of Kingston’s embedded memory and storage solutions into products and applications that address the diverse and growing needs of the embedded and IoT marketplaces.

Basic Skills:

  • Knowledge of memory solutions such as eMMC, eMCP, discrete DRAM. Additional knowledge of ARM platforms, microprocessors and microcontrollers preferred.
  • Experience working with US product design customers, technology distributors and contract manufacturers.
  • Strong presentation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Applicants must be well organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and capable of overseeing projects from conception through completion.
  • Experience working with engineering, sales, marketing, operations and production in order to meet objectives and support customers effectively.
  • Ability to drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and report to the organization on customer needs, requirements, and activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Focus on, grow, and maintain Kingston’s Embedded Solutions business related to embedded and IoT customers. Work with Business Management to effectively manage new customer projects and meet/exceed customer expectations on technology, quality and delivery.
  • Develop and manage embedded projects across North America through customer engagement, gathering project and platform details, product evaluations, supply chain contacts, pricing and forecasting.
  • Communicate regularly with team members to develop and execute account and business strategies to drive success. Work with Sales team and Business Management to set and attain goals for strategic accounts, targeted technology and product needs
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Kingston’s Embedded products, services and its applications for potential customers. Add value to customers’ products and processes with Kingston’s Embedded products and services.
  • Maintain sufficient knowledge of customers’ business to recognize opportunities and be regarded by the customers as a memory technology expert and trusted advisor. Establish sources to provide information on competitive pricing, market activities, percentage of share and other business intelligence about the assigned accounts and/or target markets.
  • Maximize sales of targeted products and services while being responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with end customers, distributors and contract manufacturers.
  • Develop sales plans for the overall market and strategic business plans for the respective targeted accounts. Understand market and technology trends for Kingston’s Embedded products.
  • Provide specific guidance and direction to Kingston Business Management and Engineering on potential new products and technologies needed for said market.
  • Travel up to 50%-60% within North America to meet with customers and distribution partners.
