Job Details - Operations Program Specialist - Fountain Valley, CA

The Operations Program Specialist will manage Kingston’s strategic accounts and programs in planning and scheduling materials to meet OEM or Data Center customer orders, monitor and expedite manufacturing flow and maintain ongoing business activities. Act as liaison between customers and internal departments (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Production) in planning, coordinating and managing customer programs and projects. Evaluate customer requests, coordinate with internal departments for the feasibility and cost of new programs and projects, manage project timelines through implementation. Collaborate with Engineering staff to explore more efficient methods of production flow.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage inventory by analyzing the demand trend, run rate, product life cycles, and market conditions to ensure conservative inventory levels.
  • Obtain forecast from customers, secure raw material to support demand forecast
  • Replenish inventory when needed by coordinating with Asia manufacturing sites.
  • Coordinate fulfillment of orders and availability of raw materials and production builds.
  • Oversee production flow of products through Quality Control, Testing, Quality Assurance, Packaging, Finished Goods, and Shipping Departments; ensure fluidity of production flow and expedite orders as needed to meet customer schedules.
  • Coordinate with QA, Engineers and Asia counterparts to ensure release of new products to mass production; troubleshoot manufacturing flow issues.
  • Process orders, provide delivery status to customers, resolve inquiries that may include, but not limited to technical questions, RMA’s, shipping discrepancies.
  • Perform feasibility, cost and profitability analyses of programs.
  • Generate customer reports and manage special requirements.

Requirements:

  • Five to ten years of experience in a manufacturing/operations position including three to five years of Production Planning and Material Planning experience.
  • Experience in a technology manufacturing company with global operations is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, qualification processes and Bill of Material (BOM) structures.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to details, excellent organization and problem solving skills.
  • Team player, self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast paced working environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project; JD Edwards experience is helpful.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate customers and staff in various time zones.
  • Conversationally fluent in Mandarin is highly preferred.
