Job Details - Sales Operations Representative, US Sales – Embedded MEMORY - Fountain Valley, CA
Department: US Sales – Embedded MEMORY
Under general supervision, assist in overall Embedded business process for assigned account(s). Interface with internal and external departments pertaining to Kingston Embedded Products, communicate with external customers, some order processing, product release notification, product availability and pricing issues. Also responsible for enhancing customer relationships and providing sales assistance to accounts in order to maintain a cohesive partnership with customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in answering incoming calls and electronic mail from embedded customers (direct and indirect) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in processing purchase orders, release back orders, evaluate and process shipping discrepancies, review and administer RMA’s, prepare and administer price change notifications.
  • Assist in communicating all account issues and market opportunities to appropriate sales teams when necessary.
  • Provide assistance for customer service response for account specific needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Assist in maintaining Kingston Portal orders and data integrity. Review and assist making necessary adjustments when necessary.
  • Follow up on embedded opportunities and input detailed updates into appropriate database. Attend and participate in weekly embedded status meetings.
  • Continuously educate yourself on new products and technologies pertaining to embedded business.

Qualifications Guidelines:


Required: Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, communication or related field and/or equivalent education or experience. Three (3) years sales experience, preferably involving technology sales.

Desirable: Computer industry experience.

Knowledge of: Sales and marketing principles, concepts, methods and practices; customers, competitors terminology and products; computer industry practices and standards; customer service principles and techniques. Broad understanding of key customer contractual items, thorough knowledge of Kingston’s and individual accounts, procedures and policies (including shipping and receiving, RMA, accounting, order entry procedures and manufacturing practices). Understanding of distribution and channel sales. Customer service principles, concepts, methods and practices. Requires experience with distribution and channel sales, customers, competitors terminology and products.

Skills/Abilities: Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation and time management skills. Operate a personal computer to utilize word processing and spreadsheet application programs; responsively adapt to changing work priorities; communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal departments; work on several tasks simultaneously.
