Kingston Technology Supports Team No Reservations in Mongol Rally

  • 10,000-mile Adventure for Charity
  • From Prague, Czech Republic to Ulan-Ude, Russia
  • Kingston Is Everywhere

Fountain Valley, CA – July 22, 2019 – Kingston Technology Company, Inc., a world leader in memory products and technology solutions, is proud to sponsor Team No Reservations as they take on the Mongol Rally 2019. Kingston will support Dan, Chey and Pete’s quest across continents to raise funds for two amazing charities: Cool Earth and CORE (Children of Restaurant Employees). Cool Earth is a non-profit organization that works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation and climate change. CORE is a national 501(c)(3) that grants support to children and families of food and beverage service employees navigating life-altering circumstances.

The annual Mongol Rally is the greatest motoring adventure on the planet, kicking off today in Prague, Czech Republic. Over 300 cars travel a third of the way across the world through two continents, 20 countries and seven time zones with no backup, no set route and no guarantee they will make it to the end. They will thunder through 10,000 miles of chaos across mountains, steppe and deserts on roads ranging from bad to not-a-road in a tiny 1000cc car while meeting hundreds of people and communities along the way. For the first time ever, Team No Reservations, a nod to the late Anthony Bourdain, will embark on their trip from Prague to Ulan-Ude, Russia in a 1.1-liter engine Fiat Panda.

Kingston’s support for Team No Reservations include funds to help purchase the vehicle and product support such as Canvas memory cards, High Endurance microSD cards, UV500 SSDs, DT Bolt Duo, and high-speed card readers. All of Kingston’s product solutions are engineered and tested for use in the harsh and extreme conditions the team will face. Team No Reservations will utilize Kingston products to provide photo and video updates throughout their long journey.

“We’re so pleased with the support from Kingston and the excitement from their employees,” said Peter Pham, team member of Team No Reservations. “As content creators, we are eager to use Kingston’s products as they are a go-to for their durability and reliability. These will be especially useful under the harsh and unusual conditions we’re facing along the way.”

“It was an easy decision to support Team No Reservations on their journey for the charities Cool Earth and CORE,” said Craig Tilmont, director of marketing, Kingston. “The spirit of the Mongol Rally and Team No Reservations aligns with Kingston’s mission to support both the communities in which we live and around the world. When we say ‘Kingston Is Everywhere,’ we encourage our users to take Kingston solutions on any and all adventures to see the world in new ways. We applaud this brave group of adventurists for their commitment to these great causes and are proud to support them along the way.”
