ECC UDIMMs:

Virtually any configuration up to 64GB can be reached using Kingston's 2, 4, and 8GB modules.
Reg ECC RDIMMs:

Virtually any configuration up to 256GB can be reached using Kingston's 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32GB modules.
LRDIMMs:

Virtually any configuration up to 256GB can be reached using Kingston's 32GB modules. Intel E5-1600 series processor doe not support Load Reduced DIMM (LRDIMM). LRDIMM support requires E5-2600 series processors.

DDR3 modules automatically clock down depending on which Intel Xeon processor is used and the number of modules installed.
Kingston recommends installing K4 kits for optimal quad channel performance configurations.
Intel E5-1600 series processor doe not support Load Reduced DIMM (LRDIMM). LRDIMM support requires E5-2600 series processors.

This system supports either Registered ECC or Unbuffered ECC memory. Mixing Registered ECC and Unbuffered ECC modules is not supported within this system.
It is recommend that all installed memory be the same size, type, and speed.
