Job Details - Operations Program Specialist - Fountain Valley, CA

Department: Corporate Services

The Operations Program Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the daily manufacturing and production activities for Kingston’s strategic OEM or Data Center Customers, including but not limited to processing orders, managing and reporting accurate inventory, maintaining customer reports, and supporting managers with other related manufacturing functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate availability of raw materials and capacity to support demand forecast from customers.
  • Manage inventory by analyzing the demand trend, run rate, product life cycles, and market conditions to ensure conservative and accurate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate fulfillment from the Customer order process through shipping and invoicing
  • Ensure accurate information on Customer orders (part numbers, quantity, pricing, terms).
  • Coordinate manufacturing build and order fulfillment process with internal teams.
  • Resolve order and billing related issues and discrepancies.
  • Accurately maintain Customer reports.
  • Manage and report inventory to ensure data integrity for all warehouses and systems.
  • Maintain accuracy of transactions on Customer, Vendor and Kingston systems.
  • Create new part numbers and BOM’s; set up new Vendor and Customer accounts.
  • Document job-function related processes.
  • Identify problems and recommend process improvement.


  • Five years of experience in a manufacturing/operations position, including three to five years of Production Planning and Material Planning experience.
  • Experience in a technology manufacturing company with global operations is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, qualification processes and Bill of Material (BOM) structures.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to keep detailed and accurate records.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to details, excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to successfully manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio; JD Edwards experience is helpful.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to work hours that accommodate Customers and staff in various time zones.
  • Conversationally fluent in Mandarin is highly preferred.
