Job Details - Supervisor, Marketing, HyperX - Fountain Valley, CA

Department: Eastern Europe Marketing

Under general supervision, oversees the design, appearance, and execution for HyperX Marketing in Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine regions. Has experience in social and digital media, channel marketing and PR materials; maintains a consistent brand image; and performs other related work as required.


Essential Functions:

  • Plans, coordinates, and schedules employee assignments and projects.
  • Checks work for acceptability and conformance with standards.
  • Trains employees and resolves questions and concerns.
  • Provides art direction of internally and externally designed pieces.
  • Designs and creates marketing printed materials in accordance with approved corporate style.
  • Coordinates efforts with external agencies, design firms, writers, and proofreaders through project completion.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in employee interviews and performance evaluations; recommends and/or implements disciplinary measures as needed.
  • Works with Internet site provider to provide site graphics, jump pages or graphic adjustments, as required.
  • Attends product meetings to gather information for new or existing projects.
  • Creates corporate presentation template and implements new presentation templates.
  • Maintains time log and attends Marketing Communications administrative meetings.
  • Attends product photo shoots and press checks for product lines as necessary.


Education / Qualifications:

Minimum Criteria

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in digital social media, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of computer graphic design and communications experience.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Speak and write in English, Russian or Turkish.
  • Art direction, production and scheduling practices; supervisory principles and leadership techniques; basic design principles; printing process and film output standards; basic proofreading practices; customer service principles.

Skills / Behaviours:

  • Operate personal computer system to utilize desktop publishing, graphics, and word processing software programs
  • Operate standard office equipment including voice mail and electronic mail
  • Schedule, organize, and complete work in accordance with deadlines
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate the work of staff
  • Motivate employees to execute projects efficiently and creatively; delegate tasks and check work for completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain the confidentiality of personnel and payroll data
  • Interpret and translate needs of internal customers
  • Create designs and illustrations in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, other department representatives, vendors, and contractors.
