Important Configuration Notes

  • MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN IDENTICAL PAIRS OR KITS for Dual Channel mode.
  • Memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending number of modules and types installed per channel. Refer to motherboard manual and QVL for supported memory configurations and speeds.

Kingston FURY Configuration Notes

  • Check with your motherboard QVL for the latest tested memory parts and supported configurations.
  • Mixing modules or kits of different speeds/timings/voltages is not recommended and may cause instability.
  • If a K4 "Kit of 4" part is not listed for a particular speed/capacity, it is not recommended to install two K2 "Kit of 2" parts together. K4 kits are only listed if the configuration has been tested as stable.
  • Performance may increase with BIOS updates.

QUALIFIED VENDOR LIST (QVL)

Kingston provides multiple layers of verified compatibility for its products: platform validation, extensive internal testing, and samples tested by leading motherboard manufacturers, which are then posted to their Qualified Vendor List. Kingston also works with independent testing labs such as Advanced Validation Labs (AVL) to provide compatibility certification on a select list of server motherboards and systems. We recommend either checking the QVL on the manufacturer’s website for the latest updates, or the QVL links and certificates Kingston provides here.

Compatible Upgrades For Your System

Overclocking pushes the stable industry standard specifications of memory (speed, latencies, voltage) to achieve higher performance. While generally safe and supported by Intel, AMD, and the motherboard/system manufacturers, overclocking is done at your own risk. System stability may be compromised by some speeds and configurations. The FURY parts listed are based on motherboard manufacturer testing (QVLs) and Kingston internal testing, however some systems may require premium components (high-end processor models, motherboards, power supplies, and water cooling) to achieve stable overclocking, particularly at extreme speeds.

Kingston FURY Renegade with Heatsink (SFYRSK/xxxG, SFYRDK/xxxG) will fit in most systems that can accommodate its size (~80mm x 23.67mm x 10.5mm). This includes a variety of motherboards, desktops, gaming PCs and the PlayStation 5. If you are uncertain whether it will fit, please review your system manufacturer’s support manual, or contact Kingston Technical Support.
Note: Some small-form-factor systems like Intel® NUC cannot physically accommodate the height of the heatsink. In these circumstances, we suggest FURY Renegade without heatsink (SFYRS/xxxG, SFYRD/xxxG).
