Important Configuration Notes

  • DDR3 modules automatically clock down depending on which Intel Xeon processor is used and the number of modules installed.
  • Kingston recommends installing K4 kits for optimal quad channel performance configurations.
  • Due to chipset limitations, Quad Rank memory will operate at 1066MHz with 1 DIMM per Channel or 800MHz with 2 DIMMs per Channel.
  • Kingston offers Unbuffered ECC UDIMM, Registered RDIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules. Modules of different memory types CANNOT be mixed within the same system.
