IronKey EMS Cloud Service End of Life (EOL) Announcement

The IronKey EMS Cloud management system hosted by our partner, DataLocker Inc, has begun the End of Life (EOL) process set for 1 January 2023. As part of this process, the following IronKey EMS devices will no longer be supported by IronKey EMS Cloud service over the following three phases:

Phase 1

Beginning 1 January 2021, all legacy device models (listed below) will be blocked from activation.

Phase 2

Beginning 2 February 2022, all legacy device traffic and management features (such as password reset, device recommission, device detonation) will be fully deprecated.

Phase 3

On 1 January 2023, all IronKey EMS Cloud services will be permanently shut down. Remaining active licences are transferable to the DataLocker SafeConsole Management system.

Kingston’s product line of IronKey Managed drives (e.g. IronKey D300SM and S1000E), are SafeConsole ready out of box. Kingston can also provide updaters for older models, such as the S1000E drives configured with older firmware, and prior series D300M drives to add SafeConsole Management.
